How to Use Your Greatest Skills to Make Money While you Sleep
Don’t get crushed under the Tsunami waves of Technological Advancements like AI, start selling surfboards!

As a graphic designer, with a career history spanning over thirty years, I’ve been through three epochal shifts in the design industry: desktop publishing, the rise of web development, and the explosion of web-based design programs like Canva. Each of these technological “waves” saw the rise and fall of many would-be designers as the barriers to entry became paper-thin walls requiring little monetary expense for entry.
Some rose in the surf, to success and financial gain. Others were crushed under the weight of true creativity. Despite the ease of entry, many didn’t have the creative foundational skills to survive. Some duck dove under the waves, hoping the creative water would level off again and all would return to normal. Many of those design “traditionalists” floundered or resurfaced in an entirely new world they no longer knew how to participate in.
Thankfully, my branding agency and I survived and thrived through each of these epochal shifts, three giant waves of technological advancement mixed with creative accessibility.
